Coral Restoration (Kebun Karang)

Kebun Karang is an initiative to integrate ocean science with community engagement through coral restoration and conservation. We propose to setup coral garden for research and community engagement purposes in Kuantan Nearshore Reefs area.
What is Kebun Karang?
Why are we doing this?
To give a fresh HOPE for our coral reefs and improve the livelihood of people who depend on them.
Our Objectives
- To restore degraded nearshore reefs affected by human disturbances.
- To replenish existing nearshore reefs ecosystem.
- To recreate new artificial habitat for reef sand reef associated marine life.
- To educate and empower local community on coral conservation.
